Biography
Sen Yuan received his degree of Bachelor of Engineering in the area of Electronic Information Engineering at Beihang University, China in 2017. Besides he also did an internship in Tsinghua University about Navigation with Dr. Xi Chen in 2016. He continued his master study at Beihang University in the specialty of the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) with Prof. Chunsheng Li. During the graduate education, he learned and became familiar with the SAR including its satellite orbits, system design, and ground processing. For satellite orbits, he published “Maximum Nesigma0 based on the new steering strategy for GEO SAR” at international conferences (2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium). In terms of system design, he took the responsibility of a provincial-level project “Satellite Overall performance design on SAR system” with Dr. Ze Yu. Regarding ground processing, he wrote one article “A Novel SAR Sidelobe Suppression Method Based on CNN” in IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters. Sen Yuan joined TU Delft in January 2021, in the MS3 (Microwave Sensing Signals & Systems) section led by Prof. Alexander Yarovoy within the Department of Microelectronics.
